As most people who know me know, my mom teaches special ed in an inner-city high school (grades 7 & 8...hormones AND emotional disabilities...yow).  She winds up footing the bill for a lot of supplies for her students and for her classroom.

A friend of mine pointed this site out to me.  Donors Choose helps teachers fund projects for their students (classroom improvements, study aids, interactive teaching tools, etc.) by letting them post what they're doing and letting donors choose to fund them.  Kinda neat.

So, for those looking for a way to help the future out a touch, help out a teacher.  They need all the help they can get.
